i've noticed that there's no new post lately, so i'll post something new. just so everyone who checks on this page knows, the band has stepped up (yes naman!) onto their last year in Highschool. yes, we are now officially SENIORS. we are the authority. yeah. hahahaha! but of course, that doesn't mean bullying the lower batches. we have to be good examples to them because if we're not, we won't graduate. hahahaha! so anyways.. what's up with us? erika, sarah and i are classmates. patty is classmates with our band mommager, cynch. and nicki, unfortunately, is separated from us. but that doesn't mean that we won't get to hang out as a band/barkada! we have breaks and weekends and every day that doesn't require us to be in our respective classrooms. second week has started, meaning it's kapatiran week. everyone in my barkada doesn't have a problem now because their sisters know who they are. but for me, i wasn't able to meet her today since she got sort of confused and didn't get the last clue. but at least now she knows me by name (or by face? i don't know..) and we really have to talk about our costume for friday ASAP. i have some ideas in mind, but i'm going to get her suggestions first. maybe hers is better than mine. hahahaha!

anyways.. we have our first ORIGINAL music video!! :D well, the music isn't recorded professionally. patty wrote a song, Weren't Meant To Be, and she recorded it in her laptop, then she let me hear it. i was so moved with the lyrics and melody (that i got LSS-ed on) that an idea for a music video hit me. i just used the recorded song patty made, since we have no time to arrange it whatsoever. the video's in my multiply, so check that out. i don't think i have a direct link to my multiply from here, so go to my blog first (by clicking my name on the profile part of this blog) then you can find a link to my multiply from there. but if you don't give a shit to what i'm saying, then okay. :) like i can force you to, right?

what else, what else.. nothing. hahahaha! i have nothing to say anymore, maybe because my head is full of air (literally). my head is now filled with nothingness, so you can put all sorts of paraphernalia inside, or make it a mug. hahahaha! since i have nothing meaninful to say, i'll just say..

wow. since when did i last post here? well, i got patty's offline message and she said there that she posted something new here, so i thought of posting as well. my blog's getting all cobweb-y, and so is this one, but i'd rather post here than in my own blog for reasons that i know not of. (uuyyyy, san galing yun? practicing for english iv?) so anyways.. it's been.. *counts* 5 days since i celebrated my birthday. yes, i have turned seventeen. super seventeen. hahaha! nicki's next on the list, and we're still wondering what we'll do on her day. i held a party at my house last april 2nd, and if you missed it, you can go to the following multiply sites to see what you've missed:

i haven't posted pictures from my camera since i'm too lazy to do so, but when i get home (i'm staying at my grandmother's place for holy week. i'm getting too bored at home.) i promise i'll post my pics at my own multiply.

i saw patty's latest post (look down) and i noticed the lyrics and title to my--no, OUR first original song. i really hope we could play it infront of more people soon, say, the fair or our legacy concert.

legacy concert---whoo!! it means we're stepping into our last year in AA. *sniff* i'll definitely miss AA. especially their siomai!! when they see me infront of them, they always know i'll buy 8 pieces of siomai with large iced tea, and something else when i'm REALLY hungry! (but when am i not so hungry anways?! hahaha!) i can't wait for senior year. i think and hope it will be a blast since there are all sorts of activities coming up, meaning more bonding with the batch! i just hope step up gets to practice this schoolyear, because SY 2006-2007 was jamming-free. haha! we really, really concentrated on our grades, since majority of the college admissions officers will be looking at our junior year report cards (which will be out on the 11th. gulp.)

so. what's lined up for step up this summer? REVIEW CLASSES. patty and erika will be starting this april, nicki, cynch and me on may. for sarah.. i'm not sure when. haven't asked yet. hahaha! i do hope we get to record our demotape so we won't go through all the hassle to find a day where we could record during schooldays. we have earned some cash on our latest gig (my birthday), but i haven't told my bandmates about it because it was just me and nicki that's left when someone (he/she prefers to remain anonymous) handed us a good sum of cash for a good job. so bandmates.. we have some money already. we just need to earn some more. haha! the money's with nicki, btw. :)

i think this post's long enough. i can't wait to see my friends again! :)

wow. i haven't posted for a long time. a junior's life is quite busy, and being involved in extra curricular activies makes you busier. so what's happening to our band? we had a recent jamming last week (or was it last last?).. no, we didn't pass the auditions for our fair. but we'll try again next year, and maybe get a few more gigs somewhere else..

i'm really happy cause during our last practice, we polished my song, Hindi Sinasadya. :) sadly, i will be the one who'll sing. but since we agreed to rotate band positions for some of our songs, then i guess i can't do anything about it. it's not yet done though, but we'll finish it soon. so to make my post longer, i'll post the lyrics to my song. :) ahaha kapal!! :P

i wrote that when i was in 7th grade, so the lyrics arent' that deep and shit. wahahaha but i guess the tone's catchy, cause when i sing it, i get LSS-ed to it. haha i hope we could get to polish a few more of my songs, the ones that i'm done with (complete w/ lyrics and melody). then we can record it! hahaha. :) someday..

but for now we're focusing on getting good grades for college, and PROM (which is a few months away. shit.). maybe next year we wouldn't be so occupied, since we're graduating. maybe that's the time we can insert band time in our schedules. but for this year, it's quite impossible. it's the most crucial and busiest year in HS. and i don't want to mess up my future just because of this. the band can wait. we'd rather have a "band leave" now and get to a good college than focus on our music now and land nowhere in the future. sad to say, bands don't give a promising future to everybody, and not everyone gets the chance to fame and fortune. we'd rather have our futures secured first, and then we can enjoy making music a bit later. :) we'll just have practices.. gigs? maybe next year. :) maybe when we're not too busy? hahaha i don't know.. we'll just keep everyone posted! hahaha

It's been a while since we last posted. Sorry, We're kind of busy with our school work now that we're Juniors. We have to get HIGH grades for college but we will still try out for the Variety Show in our school (again) this year. pray for us... haha

I'll be changing the layout because we've been using this layout for ages! hahahaha

well.. i'm home. hahaha! last April 4 pa..

anyway, i can see that nobody's updating.. so.. i'll update. hahahaha!

i added a few things in the Calendar.. i think that's it!! hahahahaha! please visit our blog, even if it's not updated everyday, or every other day. the least you guys could do is tag. hahaha! and remind us to update!! hahahaha! :)) i'm hoping we'll have jamming scheduled before April ends, because i am starting to decay here infront of the computer. because if i'm not here, i'm in my parents' room, flicking from one channel to another. and if i'm lucky, my cousins would ask me to go with them to places, because we have a balikbayan here, and she'll be staying until the 26th.

to Step Up: guys, update naman diyan.. hahahaha!

honestly, there's nothing going on in the band. we're just jamming and trying to perfect our music, because we want to record as planned. still i'm trying to get us a gig somewhere.. hahaha! i went to Conspiracy bar last night, at Visayas Ave., with my cousins to watch Brownman Revival. it's a nice place, with a good crowd. i'm thinking of getting us a gig there... hahaha! but their April calendar's full. how did i know? oh no, i didn't ask. just beside the entrance was a huge white board, with the words: April, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in it. and don't forget the numbers: 2006 and numbers 1-30. hehehehehe.. each square has something in it, except for 13, 14 and 15, because that's Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Black Saturday accordingly. what if i get us a gig on May... hmmm. hahahaha! oh well snowbell. hahaha! what is thaaaat.

we had practice yesterday. :P we were complete! hehehehe. (sarah, erika, nikki, patty, cynthia and me) we practiced Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year. we weren't able to finish the song, cause it's pretty hard. we'll finish it soon enough. so as not to waste time, we practiced our usual covers (Bato and Burnout--di kami nag There She Goes. wonder why..) para di namin malimutan.. and if ever it's just on-the-spot performance, we won't freak out and ruin our "reputation". hahaha!

by the end of the summer, we'll be recording our demo tape. then i'll burn a copy for each of us, and some other extras so if ever we would want to audition, and it requires a demo tape, we'll just hand over the demo and we won't have to hassle over practice and all those blah. hehehehe. and by that time, we all have some cash to pay up for recording. (yeah, we need time to save up cause recording costs a mint of money. heck.)

patty printed out the Covalent "nametags" she made for us and i laminated them. i gave it out today. patty's thinking of making a new one for cynch, cause cynthia thinks she looks darn ugly in hers. geez. we've talked about that cynthia! hahaha! oh well.

feb4 is coming to a close. well, feb 3 muna before feb4. (uy! that rhymes! ayyy.)

feb 3-friday: we'll be celebrating patty's birthday at a private pool in nikki's village, namely Filinvest East Homes. hahaha! Covalent together with muriel (di ako sure kung si muriel pupunta.. the more the merrier! :D)

wala lang. i just thought of posting, cause cobwebs are starting to increase in number around here. hehehe..

anyway, we are so happy cause we played really good last January 7. it was Sarah's birthday party... so syempre kailangan magplay ang Step Up.

but because of our hectic schedule in school, we may not be able to play in ate din's party. plus they said we're just doing one song, so we just backed out. ang jologs naman.. isang kanta lang! so yun.. nevermind the playing. we'll just attend, since we're invited naman. kaya kami invited, kasi birthday narin ni patty the next day, so pinayagan siya maginvite ng 5 friends. wow. eksakto.. erika, nikki, cynthia, sarah and me. now my problem is: what am i going to wear? it's a semi-formal party... so it spells: d-r-e-s-s. EEEK! i have a sky blue tube dress here, which looks vintage and stretchy. but when i tried it out last night, oh my goodness. i can't even zip it halfway. geez. the first (and last) time i used it was last june 12, 2004. soooooo.. i think i'll just have to buy another one. or look for something else at the very back of my closet.. or not attend at all. but the party ends at around midnight, so it's like celebrating patty's birthday too. i can't miss that. oh well.. sa feb pa naman eh! i have a lot of time.. hahaha!!

haha! nice layout! our new layout was made by anya! hahaha.. thanks anya!! LOVES IT! hahaha... anyway, our gig last saturday (oct. 29 - soph night) was a success... haha.. we heard many of our batchmates cheering for us! wohooo!! haha.. we totally had fun! haha.. well, after the gig, we (erika, sarah, me and therese) went to the dance floor and danced! hahaha... sayang si anya.. ayaw nya eh... haha.. oh well. sayang nga lang hindi naman napanuod ung kjwan... demmit! we went home na kasi around 10:30 pm... haha.. demmit! haha... anyway, we still had fun! hoping for more gigs...hahahahaha.. bye!
